Sock 911
Sunday, July 10, 2016: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm - $25
It only takes one pair to make people fall in love with hand knit socks. Don’t throw out all your hard work when a toe pokes through the end or when they turn threadbare underneath. Angela will show you a way to salvage the good and cut away the worn. Learn a fool proof way to pick up stitches when ripping your work back.
Materials: a worn out hand-knit sock, sock knitting needles

Learn to Knit Cables
Saturdays, July 16 & 30, 2016 10:30am-12:30pm - $30 for both sessions
Can you knit and purl? If so, you can cable! Cables are much easier than they look! This two session course covers a simple twist cable and button holes while letting you work along at your own speed. The first session will cover getting started and off on the right foot for success. We’ll get the cables set up and learn how to count rows in between cable rows. Between session you will be responsible for knitting as far as the button hole end. The second session will cover shaping the ends, making button holes, sewing on buttons and finishing.
Materials: 100m worsted weight yarn, 4mm needles (straight or circular), cable needle, two 7/8” buttons. Pattern included in cost.
